Grape Tomato Salsa
Makes about 2 cups
1⁄4 | cup fresh cilantro leaves |
1 | small garlic clove, halved and peeled |
1⁄2 | jalepeño pepper, halved, seeded, cut into half-inch pieces |
1 | green onion, trimmed (include some green), cut in half-inch pieces |
1 | pint grape tomatoes |
1 | teaspoon fresh lime juice |
3⁄4 | teaspoon kosher salt |
Insert the small metal blade into the small work bowl of the Cuisinart Food Processor. Add the garlic and process until finely chopped, about 5 seconds. Scrape work bowl. Add cilantro, jalepeno, onion, tomatoes, lime juice and salt. Pulse, using medium pulses, about 8 to 10 times until coarsely chopped.

Guacamole
This popular Mexican specialty is delicious with chips and vegetable crudités, or as a topping for grilled chicken or fish.
Makes about 2 cups
2 | cloves garlic, peeled |
3 | green onions, trimmed and cut into half-inch pieces |
11⁄2 | jalepeño peppers, cored, seeded and cut into half-inch pieces |
3 | ripe avocados, peeled and pitted |
3 | tablespoons fresh lime juice (juice of 11⁄2 medium limes |
3⁄4 | teaspoon ground cumin |
1⁄2 | teaspoon ground coriander |
3⁄4 | teaspoon kosher salt |
Place the garlic, green onions and jalepeño peppers in the work bowl. Pulse on Chop 10 times; scrape the bottom and sides of the work bowl. Using a spoon, spoon the pulp of the avocado into the work bowl along with the lime juice, cumin, coriander and salt. Pulse on Chop, using long pulses, 10 times, then process on Chop continuously for 20 to 25 seconds; scrape the work bowl. Process on Chop for another 20 seconds until smooth and creamy.
